It is created using petroleum or coal-based chemicals, making it a fossil fuels based material.
It it used in many kinds of clothes, like:
- Woolen/knitted items like sweaters, gloves etc
- Athletic clothes link hoodies, tracksuits/pants
- Rugs and upholstery
Properties:
- It is not very breathable
- Prone to pilling a lot
- Quite flammable and melts
- It's cheap to purchase compared to other Fabrics π±.
- Non-biodegradable
