How to Look After Blueberries π±
Blueberry bush requirements
- more acidic soil, ranging from 4.5 to 5.5 PH to grow (can use azalea soil mix)
- They need to be planted in an area that has good drainage
- They need their soil to be kept moist but not have too much water
You can use things like;
- Used coffee grounds
- Pine needles
- Liquid Seaweed
- Well-aged manure
to fertilise the soil, and at the beginning of spring each year should be given some sulphate of potash.
Pests
In order to keep birds from eating your blueberries you can apply netting on your plants.
Blueberries don't attract too many pests, but Aphids do like blueberry plants.
